Cruise Rewards on Royal Caribbean
Crown & Anchor Society, and the family of programs around it.
Get Quotes That Keep Your RewardsFor cruise rewards, Royal Caribbean keeps things simple. Everything runs through the Crown & Anchor Society, one of the easiest programs to follow: you earn by the night, and the ladder has six clearly numbered levels. What makes it special is the family around it — Celebrity Cruises and Silversea share status with it, and points can move between them.
How Crown & Anchor Points Are Earned
Royal Caribbean awards one cruise point for every night you sail and double points when you book a suite or travel solo. Points post after the cruise, and benefits of a new level begin on your next sailing.
| Level | Cruise points | Examples of benefits Royal Caribbean lists |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 3 | Entry level after a first cruise; member offers |
| Platinum | 30 | Private event on longer sailings, laundry and dry-cleaning discounts |
| Emerald | 55 | Welcome waters in the stateroom, larger photo savings |
| Diamond | 80 | Complimentary drink vouchers, lounge access, Wi-Fi time |
| Diamond Plus | 175 | Expanded Diamond benefits |
| Pinnacle Club | 700 | The top level, earned individually or by a spouse or partner |

Celebrity and Silversea: One Family, Three Programs
Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea share status automatically. A Crown & Anchor level is matched one-for-one to the equivalent level in Celebrity’s Captain’s Club and Silversea’s Venetian Society, so you can try a sister brand without starting over. You need to be enrolled in the program of the brand you sail.
Points Choice goes a step further. For sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026, members 18 and over can send the points earned on a sailing to Captain’s Club or Venetian Society instead, if that program matters more to them. Requests can be made before the sailing and up to 14 days after disembarking, each sailing’s points move only once, the choice cannot be undone, and exchange rates are published by the line. Points from the co-branded card are not part of it.

Celebrity Captain’s Club in Brief
Because the families are linked, many Royal Caribbean cruisers also sail Celebrity. Its Captain’s Club awards points per night by the stateroom category you pay for: 2 for inside and ocean-view, 3 for veranda, 5 for Concierge Class and AquaClass, 8 for Sky Suites, 12 for Celebrity, Signature and Royal Suites, 18 for Edge Villas, Penthouse and Reflection Suites, and 24 for the Iconic Suite. Levels run Preview, Classic (2–149), Select (150–299), Elite (300–749), Elite Plus (750–2,999) and Zenith (3,000+). Points follow the category paid, not the cabin you end up in, so a complimentary upgrade does not add points.
Royal Caribbean Rewards Tips
- Solo cruisers earn double on Crown & Anchor, which makes solo sailing one of the fastest routes up the ladder.
- Plan back-to-back cruises knowing that a new level starts on the next booking, not mid-trip.
- If you will sail Celebrity or Silversea next, consider Points Choice for the sailing before.
- Check promotional double-point offers carefully; Royal Caribbean says those points are not eligible for Points Choice transfers.
Royal Caribbean Rewards Questions
How many points do I earn on a Royal Caribbean cruise?
One Crown & Anchor cruise point per night sailed, or two per night when you book a suite or sail solo. A 7-night cruise therefore earns 7 points in a standard shared cabin.
When do my Crown & Anchor points appear?
After the cruise. New tier benefits start on your next sailing, so a level reached on one cruise does not apply to that same cruise.
Can I move Royal Caribbean points to Celebrity?
Yes, through Points Choice, for sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026. You must already be enrolled in the other program, the request must be made by 14 days after you disembark, and it cannot be reversed.
